Stepping Towards the Future

Life is a journey ripe with twists and turns.

It’s easy to falter and lose your way.

You might never know where you truly are, but it’s never too late to keep moving in the right direction and take a step towards the future.

Our 4-Step Process

Seven Ways Home Foundation helps other people by using a customized approach.

Instead of providing food or supplies as a one-time act of kindness, the Foundation strives to build long-term relationships with individuals in need.

7 Ways Home sees this relationship as an apprenticeship, where both parties learn and grow together. The effectiveness of this approach relies on the individual’s own desire to improve his or her own circumstances.

Our goal is to help as many people as possible reach Level 4, which is a significant milestone in their individual journey towards self-sufficiency.

To achieve this, the Foundation has developed a 4-level program that establishes a structured program for individuals that sets goals, provides accountability, and tracks individual progress.

The Steps

  • The first step for providing aid to a new apprentice is to eliminate crucial distractions. By providing basic human necessities such as food, clothing, power and water, Seven Ways Home allows the apprentice to focus on their future growth rather than be stuck in the day-to-day grind. Furthermore, each apprentice will undergo an evaluation to determine where they are currently, where they want to be, and how to get there. This varies from person to person depending on their current situation and skillset. Click here to learn about our level 1 Apprentices.

  • Apprentices that have reached the second step have proven that they're fiscally responsible with the organization's donations and driven to succeed. These individuals have also begun creating goals and finding the career that is right for them. During this step they're expected to learn not only the skills required in their desired field, but the skills required to navigate the uphill nature of life. Skills such as time-management, problem solving, resilience, etc. might seem simple at first, but truly are the building blocks of a successful person. Through a combination of mentorship, schooling, and other learning opportunities the Apprentices gain field specific and life necessary skills. Click here to learn more about Level 2 Apprentices.

  • Step three Apprentices show a great improvement not only in their technical, money-making skills, but also the fundamental skills required to manage yourself. Now, the organization and apprentice can focus on finding and providing the necessary tools and resources to start their careers and businesses. These vary greatly for each individual and requires strong rapport with the foundation to decide what is needed. Some examples of this include paying for schooling, work vehicles, landscaping tools, and places to conduct business. Click here to view the Level 3 Apprentices.

  • Step Four is reserved for those apprentices who're completely self-sustainable and ready to continue the cycle of empowerment. No longer just an apprentice, they've graduated to a Fellow, a member of the Foundation responsible for finding members in their community who would benefit from being involved with the foundation and mentoring those already integrated within the program.
